Srivasavi General Stores

Srivasavi General Stores is right at 1519 on the 21st Main Road, Sector 1, near the 12th Cross in Vijaya Nagar. We’ve been in this spot for quite a while now. The store is packed from floor to ceiling with all kinds of household goods, from plastic buckets to stationery and small kitchen items. It’s the kind of place where if you can’t find it, you just have to ask because it’s probably hidden behind something else. We spend a lot of time unpacking boxes and trying to find space on the shelves for new stock. The floor is tiled but some of them are cracked from years of moving heavy crates around. We get a lot of school kids coming in for pens or notebooks, and then later in the day, it's the home cooks looking for a specific pot or some cleaning supplies. It’s never really quiet here, which is fine by us. We have a small fan behind the counter that helps a bit when the afternoon sun hits the front of the store. Sometimes the billing takes a bit longer because we like to talk to the neighbors about what’s happening on the street. It’s a basic, honest shop where we just try to have what people are looking for. We don't use any fancy tricks, just stay open and keep the shelves as full as we can. When we finally close, we turn off the overhead lights one by one.
