Srinivas Telecom

Srinivas Telecom is right on DVG Road in Basavanagudi at number 85/1. If you know this area, you know how busy it gets, especially in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. Our shop is right in the thick of it. We deal with phones and all the things that go with them. People come in with cracked screens or phones that won't turn on. It’s a small place, so we often end up chatting with the customers while they wait. Basavanagudi has a very specific feel to it, very traditional and steady, and we like being part of that. We aren't a big chain store with matching uniforms. We just wear what’s comfortable and focus on the gadgets in front of us. Some days the shop is so full of people we can barely move, and other times it’s just us watching the traffic go by. We’ve seen the technology change from basic mobile phones to these fancy smartphones everyone has now. It keeps us busy trying to learn the new models. We don't do much marketing because the location on DVG Road does that for us. It’s just a local shop doing its best to help people stay connected. We close up around the same time as the other shops on the street and head home to do it all again tomorrow. Sometimes we stay a little later if a repair is being stubborn, but that is just part of the job.
