Srinidhi General Store

Srinidhi General Store is a small place on Y V Annaiah Road in Carmelaram. We sell the basic things people need every day like rice, dal, milk, and some snacks. The shop is quite packed, so we have bags of grains sitting on the floor and rows of soaps and shampoos on the wooden shelves. It’s a local neighborhood spot where people stop by on their way home from work or send their kids to pick up a loaf of bread. We open early in the morning, around 6:30, to catch the milk delivery. The fridge hums all day, and sometimes the power goes out, which is a worry for the dairy products. We have a small TV in the corner that’s usually playing the news or a cricket match while we wait for customers. Carmelaram has become a lot busier lately, but the vibe in the store is still pretty relaxed. We know most of our customers by their faces, and we know who prefers which brand of tea. It’s not a big supermarket where you get lost; it’s just a place where you can get your groceries and have a quick chat about the weather. Sometimes we run out of change, and we have to ask people to bring it next time. It’s just how things work around here. We just try to keep the shelves full and the shop clean enough for the neighbors who visit us daily.
