Sridhar Tent House

We've been over here at Pillana Garden for a good while now. The shop is right on St Thomas Cross, first stage, house number one. People around here know us because we deal with all the tent stuff needed for functions. Whether it is a small prayer meet or a wedding, we keep things moving. It gets busy during the marriage season, so the phone rings a lot then. My uncle started this, and we just kept going with it. We have the usual poles, chairs, and the big cloths for the overhead cover. Sometimes the weather is bad and it makes the work hard, but we manage to get everything set up before the guests show up. It isn't fancy work, mostly just heavy lifting and making sure the ropes are tied tight. We keep our gear tucked away in the back when it's not out at a site. If you walk down the first cross, you will see our sign. It’s a simple spot. We don't spend much on ads or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find us. Usually, a neighbor tells someone else about where we are. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We try to keep the chairs clean, though they get dusty being outside so much. It's just me and a couple of boys working here most days. We stay until the job is done. Even when it is late at night, we are out there packing things up after the party ends. It is tired work but it pays the bills.
