Sri Vinayaka Tent House

We've been over here at Ejipura on Hosur Road for quite a while now. Running a tent house means we spend most of our mornings loading up trucks and making sure the poles and cloths aren't too dusty. People around this part of Bangalore know us because we’re usually the ones lugging heavy chairs and tables around when there’s a function nearby. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is out or if it starts raining suddenly. We keep a variety of stuff, from the big main tents down to the small plastic stools that everyone ends up sitting on. My brother and a couple of cousins help out most days. We don't really have a big office or anything, just the space where we store all the gear. Sometimes the fabric gets a bit worn or a pipe gets bent, so we spend our afternoons fixing things up so they're ready for the next customer. It's not a fancy job, but it keeps us busy and we like being part of the local neighborhood events. Usually, someone just drops by the shop to tell us what they need for their wedding or puja. We just write it down in the ledger and show up when we're supposed to. That’s how we’ve always done it here in Ejipura. It's just a regular local business, nothing more than that really. Our family has lived here for years so we know every street around this side of the city.
