Sri Vinayaka Telecom

You can find Sri Vinayaka Telecom over on the Mosque Line in Sahakara Nagar at number 2122/1. It is a small shop, mostly filled with glass cases and racks of phone covers that have been there for a while. We spend a lot of the day sitting behind the counter, helping people with their recharges or trying to figure out why their screens aren't working right. The shop is quite narrow, so if more than three customers come in at once, it feels very crowded. We have a small stool in the back where we do the repair work under a bright lamp. Outside, you can always hear the activity from the mosque and the people walking up and down the line. It’s a local spot where people often stop by just to ask for directions or to see if we have a specific cable in stock. The shelves are a bit dusty and the lighting could be better, but it’s a comfortable enough place to spend the day. Sometimes we just stand at the door to watch the neighbors opening their shops or the kids playing in the street. We don’t have any big signs or anything, just the usual displays you see in any mobile shop. It’s a quiet way to make a living, and we know most of the people who live in this part of Sahakara Nagar by their first names.
