Sri Vigneshwara Rice Traders

Our place, Sri Vigneshwara Rice Traders, is right on Ittamadu Main Road in Banashankari 3rd Stage. If you are looking for us, we are right across from Paravathi Home Appliance at Shop No.-38/1. It is a busy area and there is always noise from the traffic passing by. We deal with many kinds of rice, mostly in big heavy bags that we have to move around every day. It is hard work on the back but we are used to it by now. The shop usually smells like dry grain and jute sacks which is a smell I have grown to like over the years. We spend a lot of time talking to customers about which variety is better for idli or which one makes the best pulao. Everyone has their own preference and we try to keep what they ask for in stock. Sometimes the supply from the mills gets delayed and we have to explain that to people who have been buying from us for a long time. The floor gets covered in rice husks so we are sweeping quite often throughout the day. It is a family thing mostly and we do not have a big staff or anything. Just a few of us making sure the orders are ready and the scales are working right. It is a simple business but it keeps us on our feet and connected to the people living around here in Banashankari.
