Sri Vadiraja Stores

Sri Vadiraja Stores is a local shop found at Chamrajpet 227. We have been a part of this community for a long time. The store is filled with all kinds of things people need for their homes. We have jars of grains, soaps, and little things for the kitchen. It’s a bit of a squeeze to get through the aisles because we like to keep a lot of stock. The wooden counters are old and have been smoothed down by years of people leaning on them. We know most of the families who live around Chamrajpet. They come in for their weekly supplies and usually stay for a bit of a chat. The light inside is a bit dim, but we know exactly where everything is kept. Sometimes we run out of something and have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a very relaxed way of doing things. We don't have scanners or fancy computers; we just use a notebook to keep track of sales. Outside on the street, it’s always busy with people walking to the temple or the market. Our building at 227 has a small step at the front that people sometimes trip on if they aren't careful. We keep the fans going to stay cool, but it still gets warm in the afternoons. It’s just a neighborhood store where everyone is welcome. We do our best to keep the shelves full.
