Sri Tirumala Rice Traders

We are over here at number 17 on Varanasi Road in Akshya Hagar. It is mostly just stacks of rice bags everywhere you look. We started this place because people around here always need good grain for their meals. Every morning, the shutters go up and we start moving the heavy sacks around. It gets a bit dusty inside, especially when we are weighing out portions for the walk-in customers. We deal with all kinds of rice like sona masuri or raw rice, depending on what the suppliers bring in that week. The trucks come in early and block the narrow part of the road sometimes, which makes the neighbors a bit annoyed but that is just how it goes in a trading area. We have been in Akshya Hagar for a while now. Some days are slow and we just sit on the plastic chairs waiting for someone to stop by. Other days, like before festivals, it is a total mess with everyone wanting their bags delivered at once. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a desk with a ledger and a weighing scale that we have used forever. If you walk down Varanasi road, you will see the sign. It is nothing special to look at, just a practical shop where we try to keep things moving. We know most of the people who live nearby by their first names now. That is just life here.
