Sri Shivasakthi Roadlines

Sri Shivasakthi Roadlines is up on the 1st floor of building B-5 in Yeshwantpur. Yeshwantpur is a major hub for transport, so being here makes sense for us. The stairs to the first floor are a bit steep, but they keep us moving. Our office is fairly basic. We have some old wooden desks and a lot of logbooks stacked up. Since we are in the roadlines business, there is always a lot of talk about trucks and routes. It can get a bit noisy with all the shouting and phone calls, but that’s just how it goes. We don't have a glossy brochure or a marketing person. Most people find us through the grapevine or by seeing our name on the building. We spend a lot of time on the phone checking where the vehicles are. The walls have some marks from moving boxes around. We don't really bother with decorations. It’s a place for work, not for looking pretty. The chai stall downstairs is where we spend some time when the office gets too crowded. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, with more buildings going up everywhere. But inside B-5, things feel pretty much the same as they always did. We keep the ledger updated by hand and make sure the drivers have their papers. It’s simple and it works for us every single day.
