Sri Shivasai Cane Furniture

Sri Shivasai Cane Furniture is our small shop over in New Thippasandra. You can find us right in the Renuka Complex. We’re basically next door to the Anjaneya Temple, which is a good landmark if you’re new to the area. We have been working with cane for a long time now. It’s a bit of a family thing. We have all sorts of stuff like chairs, round tables, and those hanging swings that people like for their balconies. The shop isn’t very big, so things are stacked up a bit, but we like it that way. You can see the work being done right there. Cane is a nice material but it takes a lot of patience to weave it right. Sometimes my hands get a bit sore from the bending and tying, but that is just part of the job. We don’t have fancy sales people or a big catalog. You just come in, look at what we have on the floor, and we talk. We try to make sure the finish is smooth so it doesn’t snag your clothes. The temple bells ring throughout the day, and it’s a nice place to sit and work. People often stop by after their prayers just to look at the furniture. We keep it very simple. If you want something old fixed, we do that too. It is just honest work with our hands, and we’ve been at this address for many years now.
