Sri Shivalinga Stores

Sri Shivalinga Stores is at No.14/1 in Seeta Pathi Agrahara, right in the New Tharagupet area. We are very close to the Raghavendra Swami Temple, so we hear the temple music and the bells throughout the day. It’s a nice background to the work we do. The shop itself is quite small and packed to the brim. We have shelves that go all the way up, and we use a small wooden ladder to reach the top items. The floor is tiled but some of the tiles are chipped from years of moving heavy things around. Since we are near the temple, we get a lot of people stopping in after they finish their prayers. We keep things like incense and oil right at the front. The counter is quite narrow and we usually have a lot of bags sitting around it. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you don’t know where things are kept. We do a lot of the cleaning ourselves every evening before we close up. The street outside is narrow, so parking is always a bit of a headache for anyone visiting. We’ve grown used to the crowded nature of this lane. It’s a simple life here, just managing the inventory and talking to the regulars who come by every week. We don't do much in terms of marketing, word of mouth is usually enough for us. That is how things have always been.
