Sri Shilpa Castings

Our shop is at number 117 in the Byraveshwara Industrial Estate. It is a busy little pocket of the city. We do a lot of casting work, so the place is always humming with the sound of the furnace and the fans. It gets quite hot, especially when we are doing a big pour. We have sand and molds everywhere, and the floor is never really clean no matter how much we sweep. That is just the nature of casting. We aren't a big corporation with a lot of fancy titles. We are just a group of people who know how to work with metal. Most of the day is spent in heavy boots and work clothes. We have been in this estate for quite a while and we know the other shop owners nearby. We often help each other out if someone's machine breaks down. It is a good community to be part of. We don't have a big marketing plan or a sales team. We just do the work as it comes in and try to do it right. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, like when it pours rain on the tin roof and you can't hear yourself think, but we keep going. It is a steady kind of life and we wouldn't know what else to do with ourselves if we weren't here at the shop. We just stay focused on the molds and the metal.
