This shop is right at Vijaya Nagar Mithakhali Six Road 1, so the noise from the traffic is constant. It’s a busy intersection, and we get people popping in while they wait for their bus or a rickshaw. We deal with mobile phones and all the bits and pieces that go with them. The display cases are full of chargers, headphones, and those colorful back covers that everyone seems to want. I spend a lot of time helping people who can’t get their SIM cards to work or who dropped their phone in water. It’s a small shop, so we have to be organized, or we’d lose track of everything. The light in the back is a bit dim, so I usually do the repairs right under the front counter where the sun hits. My brother helps me out on the weekends when it gets really packed. We don’t have a website or anything like that. People just see the sign and walk in. Sometimes they stay and chat for twenty minutes about nothing in particular. It feels more like a community spot than just a store. I keep a small radio playing in the corner to drown out the car horns. It’s a long day, usually starting early and closing late, but it’s steady work. We just take things one day at a time here.
