Sri Ranganath Wholesale Provision Store is located on Hebbagodi Risty Road in Kalupur. We deal with a lot of volume here, so it is usually a bit of a mess with sacks of grain and boxes of oil everywhere. Because it is a wholesale spot, we don't really have fancy displays. Everything is just stacked up on pallets so it is easier to move. We open very early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, because the smaller shopkeepers like to get their supplies before their own stores open. The air is always full of the smell of spices and raw flour. My back usually aches by noon from moving the bags around, but we have a couple of guys who help with the loading onto the trucks. Kalupur can be a very busy area, and the road outside is often blocked by delivery vans. We have a small office in the corner where I keep the accounts and handle the payments. It is mostly cash and carry here, though we know some people well enough to give them credit. The phone rings a lot with people checking prices or asking if we have enough stock of sugar or rice. We have been in this location for a long time, and the building is showing its age a bit with some peeling paint. But it is a solid business and we just keep at it day after day without much complaint or extra noise.
