Sri Raja Rajeshwari Metal Mart

We are over in Shivaji Nagar at 117 OPH Road. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know how packed it gets with people and shops. There’s always someone walking, bikes zipping by, and the sound of the main market just a short walk away. Our shop is one of many on this stretch, and we’ve been here through a lot of changes in the city over the years. Inside, it’s mostly metal goods—pots, pans, and all sorts of kitchen items. We have them stacked up to the ceiling in some places to make the most of the space. It’s a bit of a maze, but we know exactly where everything is kept. The air usually feels a bit heavy with the heat and the crowd outside on the street. We don’t have air conditioning or anything like that, just a couple of old ceiling fans that keep spinning. We’ve been serving the local community for a long time now. People come here because they know we’ve been around forever. It’s not a polished store with glass displays. It’s a place where you can touch the items and see the quality for yourself. We spend a lot of time cleaning the brass and steel to keep it shining. The street can be quite noisy with all the vendors calling out, but we don't mind it. It feels alive. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out.
