About Sri Padmalaya Metal Art & Craft – Metals & Minerals in Bengaluru
We are Sri Padmalaya Metal Art & Craft. Our workspace is spread across numbers 12 and 13 in the Shankarappa Layout. This is part of the New Extension in Kenchenahalli, which is over in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar. It’s a bit of a long address, but once you get here, it’s pretty simple. We have a lot of stuff tucked away in these two units. It’s where we do all the manual work. The area is mostly residential, so it stays fairly calm during the day. We don't have a fancy front desk or a big sign outside. Most of the people who come by are either neighbors or people who have heard about us through word of mouth. We spend a lot of time on the floor working on different pieces. The layout gives us enough room to move things around when we need to. Raja Rajeshwari Nagar is a nice part of the city to work in. We’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood over the years. We start pretty early and usually wrap things up before it gets too late. There isn't much corporate structure here. We just do the work that comes in. The units are filled with tools and materials, so it’s definitely a working space rather than a gallery. We like the fact that we can just focus on the craft without too many distractions. It’s a honest way to spend the day. We’ve been at Shankarappa Layout for a while and plan to stay.
