Sri New Sasi Rekha Transport Co is situated out in Hoskote, right across from the MVJ Medical College in Charkop. Being near the college means there are always students and ambulances around, so the road stays quite active. Our yard is where the trucks sit when they aren't on the road. It’s a dusty place, especially when the wind picks up across the open spaces in Hoskote. We have a small office building that's basically just a room with a phone and some ledgers. The walls have a few old maps pinned up so we can see where the drivers are headed. It’s not a corporate environment at all. We wear regular clothes and get our hands dirty when a truck needs a quick look-over. The sun can be really harsh out here, so we appreciate the shade of the few trees we have near the gate. We don't have any polished brochures or fancy presentations. People just show up at our gate because they saw the sign or heard about us from someone else. It’s a straightforward business. We track the mileage and talk to the drivers when they get back from long trips. Sometimes we share a meal in the small shack behind the office. It’s just how we run things here near the medical college. We focus on the trucks and the road, day after day. It’s a simple life out here on the edge of the city.
