Sri Murugan Metal Industries

Sri Murugan Metal Industries is at 63/B4 in the Yeshwantpur Industrial Suburb. It is a large shed where we do mostly industrial metal work. The roof is made of corrugated tin and it gets quite loud when the machines are running or when it rains. We have some heavy-duty presses and cutting machines. The floor is concrete and it is always a bit oily. We have to be careful not to slip. We do work for other factories in the area. They bring us their requirements and we try to get the pieces done. It is a lot of measuring and checking. We aren't a big corporation. It is just a local business with a few dedicated workers. We have a small office space that is really just a desk and a couple of chairs. The tea man comes around on his cycle and that is when we take a break. The power cuts in Yeshwantpur can be a problem sometimes. We just wait it out or do other manual tasks. We have been in this spot at 63/B4 for many years. We don't do any flashy advertising. Our work usually speaks for itself when people see the parts we make. It’s a gritty, honest way to make a living and we stay until the job is done.
