Sri Manjunathaugs & General Stores

Our shop is Sri Manjunathaugs & General Stores right on Yelahanka N S Road 9, and it’s usually the first place people stop in the morning for milk or bread. It’s a small general store, so the shelves are pretty packed with everything from soap to snacks. I spend most of my day behind the counter, talking to the regulars who live around here. Some people just come in for one thing, others stay and chat for ten minutes about the weather or the traffic. It gets crowded in the evenings when everyone is coming home from work. The floor gets a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we sweep it when we can. We try to keep the stuff people ask for the most right at the front. It’s not like those big supermarkets where you get lost. Here, you just ask me where the rice is and I point to it. Sometimes we run out of things if the delivery truck is late, but that’s just how it is. My family helps out too, especially on weekends when the kids are off school. It’s a noisy place with the fans running and the fridge humming in the back. But it’s home for us, and we like being part of the street. Everyone knows everyone’s business here, which makes it feel like a real community. We’re just a regular shop doing regular things every day for the people nearby.
