Over at Marathahalli Ashoka Hotel Chowk 4, things are always moving fast. That is where we keep Sri Manjunatha Tent House Light & Sound Systems. It’s a loud corner of the world, which fits because we handle a lot of sound equipment. We have big speakers that are quite heavy to move and a lot of tangled wires that we are always trying to keep organized. Besides the sound, we do the usual tent stuff and lights for festivals or private parties. You might see our yellow truck parked near the chowk when we are loading up for a gig. We spend a lot of hours checking bulbs and making sure the amplifiers don't hiss too much. It’s a lot of manual work, climbing up ladders to hang lights or dragging heavy mats across a floor. The weather can be a real pain when you're setting up outside, but we just deal with it. We aren't a corporate company; we are just a bunch of guys who know how to wire a speaker and put up a frame. Most of our customers are from around Marathahalli who just need things done without a lot of fuss or fancy talk. We keep the gear in the back and wait for the phone to ring. It’s basic work, but it keeps us busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes the equipment breaks and we spend the whole afternoon soldering parts back together. That's just how it goes.
