Sri Manjunatha Metal Works

You can find us at 79/2 Magadi Main Road, inside the JDA Market area. We are located right within the Tiles Factory Compound, specifically on the right side of the 7th Cross. Sri Manjunatha Metal Works is a place where there is always the sound of hammers and grinders going. It’s a dusty environment because of the tiles factory nearby, so everything usually has a thin layer of grey on it. We work with various types of metal, cutting and joining pieces together as needed for different projects. The space is open to the air mostly, which helps with the heat from the welding and cutting. We have a few heavy workbenches that have been dented and scarred over years of hard use. It’s not a clean place, but it’s where the work gets done every day. Magadi Main Road is always loud with traffic, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard over the trucks and the machines. We keep our tools on hooks and in old wooden crates near the benches. It’s a very manual process here with a lot of heavy lifting involved. Most of the guys have been doing this for a long time and don't need much instruction anymore to get things finished. We take a break when the sun is at its highest, sitting in the shade of the compound wall for a bit. It’s hard work, and your hands are always dirty by the end of the shift.
