Yelachenahalli is an industrial kind of place, and we fit right in at the JC Industrial Estate. Our address is 40/3, and it's mostly just a large shed with a small corner for the paperwork. There is always a layer of iron dust on the tables, no matter how much we wipe them. We handle a lot of steel rods and structural pieces. The crane we have is old, but it still does the job of lifting the heavy stuff onto the lorries. Most of the day is spent listening to the sound of metal hitting metal. It gets loud, but you stop noticing it after a week or two. We have a few guys who have been with us since we opened. We sit out front when it’s quiet and watch the other units in the estate. There is a lot of back and forth between the businesses here. If we need a tool, we borrow it from the neighbor, and they do the same with us. It’s a practical way to run things. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room. If someone comes by, they just walk up to the desk. We keep the stock organized by size, though sometimes things get a bit jumbled when we are in a rush. It’s just how a steel yard works. We focus on getting the orders out and keeping the yard moving.
