Sri Lakshmi Transport

Sri Lakshmi Transport operates out of Peenya on Rayappa Road, specifically at 1st Cross. Being in an industrial area like this means we are surrounded by a lot of trucks and big warehouses. Our office at 422/1D is mostly where the drivers hang out between trips and where we keep track of all the logbooks. It’s a lot of phone calls and checking on where the vehicles are at any given hour. We handle moving goods from one side of the city to the other, or sometimes much further out. The yard gets pretty muddy when it rains, and there is always the smell of diesel in the air. We have been doing this for a while, so we know the shortcuts to avoid the worst traffic on the main roads. It isn't a glamorous job. Most of the time we are just worrying about tire pressure or engine oil levels. The drivers are usually tired but they get the job done. We have a small bench outside where we sit and drink tea while waiting for the next load to arrive. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and we have to spend the evening sorting through receipts. It is a simple operation really, just trucks and drivers trying to make sure things get delivered where they need to go without too much trouble. We don't have fancy logos or big signs, just the address on Rayappa Road.
