Sri Lakshmi Ranga Tent House

If you walk down the 80 Feet Road in Srinivasnagar, you’ll find us at number 9. We’ve been running Sri Lakshmi Ranga Tent House for years now. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We spend our mornings loading up trucks with metal poles, folded chairs, and heavy rolls of fabric. When there’s a festival or a wedding in the neighborhood, we are usually the first ones there and the last ones to leave. Setting up a tent looks easy until you have to do it in the rain or when the wind is blowing hard. We’ve had our fair share of long nights where we are still hammering stakes into the ground at midnight. Our shop is mostly a storage space filled with all the things people need for a function. It’s dusty and crowded, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Most people just walk in or call us because they’ve seen our name on a board at another event. Srinivasnagar is a tight community, so word gets around if you do an honest job. We’ve seen many kids grow up and then come to us to rent stuff for their own weddings. It makes you feel like you are part of the family history of this area. We just keep moving the chairs and fixing the drapes, one event at a time. It’s hard on the back, but it’s our living.
