Sri Lakshmi Industries

Sri Lakshmi Industries is down in Nayandahalli at Versova 41. It’s more of a workshop than a store, really. You can hear the machines running from down the block before you even see the sign. We’ve got a lot of metal scrap and tools lying around, and the air always has that smell of cut iron and grease. It’s a hard place to keep clean, no matter how much we sweep. The workers have their own way of doing things, and it usually involves a lot of shouting over the noise of the grinders. We’ve been at this location for a good number of years. The walls are painted a dull color that’s mostly covered in dust now. We deal with various small manufacturing jobs that come our way from other businesses in the area. It’s not glamorous work, and your hands are going to get dirty if you stay here too long. We have a small office area tucked in the back where we keep the books and take a seat when the legs get tired. The tea guy comes by twice a day, and that’s usually the only time things quiet down for a few minutes. It’s just a practical spot where we get things built and sent out to wherever they need to go. Most days we finish up late and just lock the gate without much thought about tomorrow until the sun comes back up.
