Sri Lakshmi General Stores

We’ve been here at Akkipet Shankara Santsopandev Society Aranyeshwar 271 for quite a while now. Running Sri Lakshmi General Stores takes up most of our time, from early morning until we close late in the evening. It’s a small place, packed with things people need every day. You know how it is, stacks of pulses, soap, cooking oil, and all the little bits and pieces that families run out of mid-week. My father started this, and now I’m the one mostly behind the counter. The shelves are a bit crowded, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for, but we usually have it buried somewhere. People from around the neighborhood stop by, often just to chat for a minute while they pick up their milk or sugar. It gets busy around dinner time when everyone realizes they forgot something. We don't have fancy displays or anything. It's just a regular shop where we try to keep the basics in stock so nobody has to go too far. The traffic on this road can be a bit much during the day, which makes deliveries a headache sometimes. But we manage. It’s a lot of work, keeping track of what’s running low and making sure the inventory stays fresh. We just open the shutters every day and get on with things. It isn't anything special, just a local spot for the folks living nearby to get their groceries and catch up on news.
