Sri Kashi Store

Sri Kashi Store is over at 364 Banashankari, right on P K Road. We are near the Panch Rasta on the 6th Main. Nermala Store is just a little way down from us. This is a small neighborhood shop. I’ve lived around here most of my life and opening this store felt like the right thing to do. We sell the usual things people need for their homes like rice, dal, and soaps. It’s not a supermarket. You can’t walk around with a trolley. You just tell me what you need and I get it from the shelf. I know most of my customers by name because they live in the next street or the one after that. Sometimes we stay open a bit late if someone needs something urgently. The shop is small and can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of stock delivered. I try to keep it tidy but there's always a box of something in the way. Banashankari is a nice place to work because people are friendly and talk to each other. We don't have any big sales or promotions. The price is the price. I write my accounts in a big brown book every night before I close the shutters. It’s a simple business and I like it that way. We don't need any fancy talk to sell groceries to our neighbors.
