Sri Kanagalakshmi Transport

Our place is at number 99 in Kannamangala, specifically in the Goravingere area. We are tucked behind the Rottiland Daba near Bidara Halli. Being near the daba is actually quite convenient because that is where the drivers often stop to grab a bite. The yard is usually full of trucks or tempos in various states of repair. There is always a smell of diesel and grease in the air. We spend a lot of time on the phone coordinating where the loads need to go and making sure the drivers have the right paperwork for the trip. It is a messy job, and our office is just a small room with a couple of benches and a lot of logbooks. We don't really have set hours because transport doesn't really stop; sometimes a truck arrives in the middle of the night and someone has to be around. We look at a lot of maps and keep track of fuel receipts and maintenance schedules. The ground in the yard is uneven and gets muddy when it rains, which makes moving the vehicles a bit of a chore. We know most of the local routes around Bidara Halli like the back of our hands. It isn't a glamorous life, just a lot of logistics and making sure the engines keep running so we can deliver whatever people have hired us to move from one place to another. We just focus on the trucks and the road.
