Sri Himagiri Transport

Sri Himagiri Transport is located at D 85 in the Yeshwantpur D Devaraj Urs Truck Terminals. Our spot is right next to the Ravitheja Petrol Bunk. This is a very busy part of the terminal. There are trucks everywhere you look, and the smell of diesel is just part of the air we breathe. We’ve got a small office room where we manage all the transport logs. It’s mostly just a place for the drivers to check in and for us to keep the ledgers. Being next to the petrol bunk is handy because there is always a lot of activity and movement. We see trucks coming from all over the country. Our days start very early, often before the sun is up, and they end late when the last load is cleared. It’s a rough and ready kind of place. We don’t have fancy carpets or air conditioning. It’s just fans and some old wooden desks. The terminal is always dusty and noisy, but that’s the nature of the transport business. We focus on getting the goods loaded and sent off on time. Sometimes there are delays at the checkposts or issues with the vehicles, and we have to sort those out. It’s a lot of physical work and constant coordination. We’ve been here at D 85 for a long time. It’s a tough environment but we’ve made a life here.
