Sri Ganesh Transport Links operates out of 264 Peenya Patel Estate, right on Yamuna Mill Road. It’s a very industrial area, so there are always trucks moving and a lot of dust in the air. We are right next to the Ganesha Temple, which is the easiest landmark to give people when they are trying to find us. The office is basically a room with a few tables and some benches for the drivers to sit on while they wait for their paperwork. It’s noisy because of the machines in the nearby factories and the heavy vehicles passing by all day. We spend most of our time coordinating where things need to go and making sure the logs are updated. It’s hard work and the hours can be long, especially when a shipment is late or a truck breaks down. We’ve been in Peenya for a long time, so we know the roads around here quite well. The temple next door is a nice place for a bit of quiet during our breaks. We don’t have any fancy signs or big posters. People just know us by name or find the address through word of mouth. It’s a messy, busy place, but we keep things moving as much as we can. There’s always someone drinking coffee or talking on a mobile phone near the entrance. It’s just how things are in this part of town every single day. We usually close up late when the last driver leaves for the night.
