Sri Doaruthi Transport

The transport business is mostly about waiting and moving, and we do that from our base at 141 Nelamangala in the Dasawanpura area. It is right on the edge of the city where the highways start to open up. We have a fair amount of space here for the vehicles to park, which is necessary since we are always dealing with logistics. The office is just a small room with a fan and a big ledger book where we keep track of the routes. Out here in Dasawanpura, it’s a bit quieter than the city center, but the sound of the highway is always there in the background. We get a lot of dust from the road, so we are constantly wiping down the desks and the files. Most of our days are spent talking to drivers or checking the maintenance of the trucks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know. My family has been involved in transport for a long time. We know the roads around Nelamangala like the back of our hands. When the weather is good, we sit outside under the small awning we put up. People stop by to ask for directions or just to rest for a minute. We don’t have a website or anything fancy; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been at this address for years and people know we are reliable for moving their goods. It is hard work but it keeps us busy from morning until night.
