Sri Dhanalakshmi Store

Located at 23/6, 2nd Main in the Nanjappa Layout of Adugodi, Sri Dhanalakshmi Store is a small part of the Bangalore landscape. This area is quite residential, so we mostly see the people who live in the surrounding houses. The 2nd Main road is where we spend our days, watching the traffic and greeting the neighbors. Our shop is filled with the essentials—grains, soaps, and those small things you always seem to run out of. We don't have much extra space, so every inch of the walls is used for storage. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four people are inside at once. We spend a lot of time checking the expiry dates and making sure the jars are closed tight. The Bangalore weather is usually okay, but on rainy days, people huddle under our small awning while they wait for the downpour to stop. We aren't a supermarket; we are just a local store where you can get a single item if that’s all you need. Most of our customers have been coming here for years, so we know their families and what they usually buy on a Tuesday. It’s a simple operation at 560030. We just open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer of the day. There is a bit of a creak in the front door that we keep meaning to fix, but somehow we never get around to it. It doesn't bother the regulars anyway.
