Sri Bhavani Metal Mart

Our shop is right on Gokula MSR Main Road, just across from the MS Ramaiah Residence. It’s a busy spot. We sell all kinds of metal things, mostly for the kitchen and house. If you walk in, you’ll see stacks of stainless steel, brass, and maybe some copper too. It’s a bit crowded inside because we try to keep a lot of stock. People from the neighborhood come in when they need a new pressure cooker or just a small spoon. We spend a lot of time cleaning the shelves because the road dust is constant. It’s just me and a couple of others here. We don’t have a computer system or anything like that, we just know where everything is kept. Sometimes a student from the college nearby pops in for a basic plate or a mug. We talk to the customers, show them what we have, and they pick what they like. Some days are slow and we just sit by the door watching the traffic. Other days, like before festivals, it’s a bit of a rush. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The sign outside is a bit faded, but everyone knows the place. We just try to have what people need. It’s a simple shop, nothing special, just honest trade on a busy road. We close up around eight usually. It’s a long day but it’s okay. Most people are friendly enough and it keeps us busy.
