Sri Balaji Mobiles

You can find Sri Balaji Mobiles over at Frazer Town Kenchappa Road 36. It’s a lively part of town with a lot of energy. Our shop is right there on the street, and we see everything from our front door. We mostly focus on mobile phones and fixing them up when they break. It’s amazing how many people drop their phones on these pavements. We have a small workbench in the back where most of the work happens. It’s usually messy with tiny screws and tools everywhere. We’ve been here for a while, so the local crowd knows us by name. It’s not a corporate setup at all. We have a few old chairs for people to sit on while they wait. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and people duck inside just to stay dry. We don’t mind. Kenchappa Road is always busy, especially in the evenings when the food stalls start up and the smell of kababs is everywhere. We try to keep things simple here. No fancy uniforms or scripted greetings. Just a 'hello' and 'how can we help.' Working with electronics can be frustrating when parts don't arrive on time, but that's just part of the job. We keep a diary of all the repairs we do, and it's getting pretty thick now. It feels good to be part of the community in Frazer Town. We stay open late most nights because that's when people are free.
