Our place is tucked away on H Siddaiah Road, right at the 4th Cross. It’s a busy corner and finding a spot for the trucks is always a headache in the mornings. Inside the office, it’s mostly just boxes piled up and rolls of bubble wrap sitting in the corner. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at people's houses. Moving stuff is never as easy as it looks on paper. There’s always a heavy sofa that won't fit through a narrow door or a box that needs three layers of extra tape. We’ve seen it all by now. The crew stays pretty busy. We don’t really have a dedicated front desk person, so if you come by and we're out back, you might have to shout a bit. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we're usually too busy moving other people's things to worry about our own walls. It’s hard work on the back, especially when there are three flights of stairs involved. We try to keep the trucks running smooth, but old engines have their own ideas sometimes. It’s just a small team of us trying to keep things moving along without too much fuss. We drink a lot of tea while we wait for the next job to come through the door. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy and the day goes by fast enough when there’s packing to do.
