Sri Anniyamman Flower Stall & Decorators

Sri Anniyamman Flower Stall & Decorators is a small place over at Gandhi Bazaar, number 4. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the shoppers and other stalls. We’ve been handling flowers and decorations here for quite a while. Our mornings start very early, long before most people are even awake, because that’s when the fresh stock comes in. The shop is filled with different colors and smells, though after a few hours, you barely notice it anymore. We do a lot of different setups for various events people have. It’s not a glamorous job. Your hands get wet and cold, and there’s always a lot of cleaning up to do. But it's what we do. We aren't a big corporate company. It’s just us at Gandhi Bazaar. People stop by while they are doing their daily market rounds. We see a lot of familiar faces every week. Sometimes it’s just a single garland, other times it’s much more for a bigger event. We don't have a fancy showroom. Everything is right there in the open. It’s a busy life, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is in a rush. We just try to keep up with the demand and make sure the flowers look decent. It is hard work but it keeps us busy. Our family has been doing this for a long time now. We just take it one day at a time and hope the customers are satisfied with what they get.
