Sri Ambe Communications

You can find Sri Ambe Communications right on Bommanahalli Station Road at 2-G. Being so close to the station means there is always a crowd of people rushing by. We deal with all sorts of phone things, mostly recharges and selling SIM cards or basic accessories. The shop is quite small, so it gets cramped if more than three people come in at once. We have a glass counter that’s seen a lot of scratches over the years. Outside, the noise of the traffic and the trains is constant, so we usually have to speak up a bit when talking to customers. It’s a busy life being on Station Road. We don't really have time for much else besides helping whoever walks through the door. Sometimes people just stop by to ask for directions since we are in such a visible spot. We have posters on the walls for different phone plans, but they are mostly peeling at the edges. It doesn't look like much, but we have everything people usually need for their phones. We spend the whole day on our stools behind the counter. It’s a lot of small transactions and quick chats. We don't try to make it look like a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a local shop for the people who live and work around Bommanahalli.
