About Sreevaru Condiments – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
If you walk down Avenue Road and reach number 137, you’ll find Sreevaru Condiments tucked away there. Anyone who knows this area knows how packed it gets with shoppers and vehicles. Our shop is quite small, but we pack a lot into it. The shelves are filled with jars and packets of all sorts of snacks and spice mixes. The smell hits you as soon as you get close—it’s a mix of fried things, chilies, and tamarind. It’s a very old-school way of doing business. We don't have a lot of room to move, so we have to be very organized with where we put things. Most of the day is spent weighing out portions and chatting with people who have been coming to us for years. The walls are lined with containers, and sometimes it feels like they might tip over, but we know where everything is. The lighting isn't great, and the floor is worn down from so many feet walking over it. We don't bother with fancy displays. We just put the bags out and let the products speak for themselves. It’s often hot and cramped, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is looking for specific ingredients. We just keep our heads down and serve whoever is next in line. It’s a busy, messy, honest little shop in the heart of the market.
