Sree Mahalakshmi Steel Traders

We have been running Sree Mahalakshmi Steel Traders for quite a while now over here at 22 Gangenahalli. If you are looking for us, we are right on the 1st Main Road, basically tucked behind Kranthi Mall. Most days start pretty early because the trucks come in when the traffic isn't too bad yet. We spend a lot of time just moving piles of steel around the yard so we can get to what people need. It’s heavy work and my hands are usually covered in some kind of grit or rust by lunch time. We don't have a fancy office or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we keep our inventory and handle the paperwork. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it is just the sound of the metal clanging. We know the neighbors pretty well and the tea stall nearby is where we usually end up when things get a bit slow. Dealing with steel isn't exactly glamorous but it's what we know how to do. We try to keep things organized but with the amount of stock we move through Gangenahalli, there’s always a bit of a mess somewhere. People usually just drop by and we see what we can find for them in the back. It’s a straightforward way of working and it seems to suit us just fine. We have been in this spot for years and don't plan on moving anywhere else.
