We deal with curtains, upholstery, and all that kind of stuff to make a house feel a bit more like a home. Our shop is usually draped in different fabrics, so there isn't much wall space left to see. We have catalogs lying around on the counters and bits of thread on the floor. It’s a hands-on business. People come in with measurements written on scraps of paper, and we try to help them figure out what looks best. We don't have a fancy interior designer on staff; we just use what we've learned over the years. Yelahanka has changed so much, but the supermarket area is still a hub for everyone. We get a lot of people stopping by after they finish their grocery shopping. It’s a friendly place. Sometimes we spend an hour just talking to a customer about the different types of cloth available. We don't rush anyone. The lighting in the shop isn't perfect, but it’s enough to see the patterns clearly. We like the slightly chaotic feel of the shop. It feels like things are actually being made here. If you want something specific, we usually have to dig through the back to find the right roll of fabric. It’s just how we do things. Simple, direct, and helpful when we can be.
