Our PG is located at 211/5 C V Raman Nagar, right above the Muthoot Finance Corporation in the G I D C area. It is a pretty busy building, and having the finance office downstairs means there are always people coming and going. We started this place because we saw a lot of women coming to the city for work or studies and needing a safe spot to stay. We have a variety of rooms, and we try to keep everything running smoothly day to day. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or the internet goes down, and then it is a scramble to get it fixed before everyone gets home in the evening. We do the cooking ourselves or have someone come in to help, so the smell of sambar or dal is usually wafting through the halls. It is not like a hotel; it is more like a big, busy house. We have rules about timings and visitors, mostly just to keep things peaceful for everyone living here. C V Raman Nagar is a good location with shops and transport nearby, which the girls seem to appreciate. We spend our days cleaning, checking the groceries, and making sure everyone is comfortable. It is a lot of responsibility looking after so many people, but we have gotten the hang of it. We just provide a simple room and a decent meal.
