You can find us right on the corner of Jama Masjid Road and Avenue Road Cross. The shop number is 25 and we have been a part of this busy intersection for quite some time. Being so close to the masjid means we hear the calls to prayer throughout the day, which gives the area a nice rhythm. Avenue Road is always packed with people looking for deals and it can get quite loud with all the shouting and horn honking. Our store is a general store, so we keep a little bit of everything on the shelves. It is the kind of place where you can find soap, snacks, or small household items all in one go. The space is a bit cramped because we try to stock as much as possible for the neighborhood folks. We don't have a big fancy storefront with glass windows. Instead, we have wooden counters and old shelves that have seen a lot of use. Every morning we sweep the front and get things ready for the first customers. It is a lot of routine, but there is something comfortable about it. We see the same faces every day and we usually have a quick chat about the weather or the news while they shop. We are just regular people running a small business in a very old and famous part of the city. We do our best to stay busy and helpful.
