Sree Honnadevi Stores

Sree Honnadevi Stores is a small place located at number 7 on Mosque Road, right off Magadi Road. It’s a busy intersection and there’s always a lot of dust and noise from the passing buses. We’ve got shelves lined with all sorts of items, and sometimes it's hard to find what you're looking for because we keep getting new stock in. We try to keep things organized, but when it gets crowded in the evenings, stuff ends up in the wrong places. The shop has been here through a lot of changes in the neighborhood. We remember when the road was much narrower than it is now. We spend most of our time standing behind the counter, chatting with whoever walks in or counting out change for customers. The lights flicker sometimes when the heavy machinery next door starts up, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a website or a fancy sign, just the name painted above the door. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so you might see different people behind the counter depending on the time of day. We usually close up late once the foot traffic dies down. It’s not a complicated life, just keeping the shelves full and making sure the shop stays open when people expect it to be. The floor gets swept a few times a day, but the street dirt always finds its way back in.
