Sre Kateel Industries

Sre Kateel Industries is based out near the Sri Meenakshi Temple. We are in the Hulimavu Post area on Bannerghatta Road. It’s a very recognizable spot because of the temple. You can hear the bells and the prayers sometimes during the day, which is a nice contrast to the heavy work we do. We are mostly into industrial fabrication and metal work. Our workshop is quite open to the air, which helps with the fumes but doesn't do much for the dust from Bannerghatta Road. It’s a busy stretch of road, always full of buses and cars. We have a lot of raw metal stock piled up near the entrance. Most of our days are spent welding, cutting, and grinding. It’s physical work and it can be exhausting when the weather is humid. We don't have a marketing person to make us look big. We are just a group of people who know how to work with steel. We usually have lunch together in the small shed out back. People from the temple or the local shops often stop by to see what we are building. We’ve been here for years and we’ve seen the road get wider and the buildings get taller. But inside our gates, we just keep doing the same daily work we’ve always done. It isn't always easy, and the equipment breaks down more than we’d like, but we fix it and keep moving. That’s just life on Bannerghatta Road. It keeps us busy.
