Spreads & More

Our place is in Koramangala at Sion Koliwada G -35B. It’s a bit of a weird address but once you find the building, we are right there on the ground floor. Spreads & More is something we started because we liked making things you can put on bread or snacks. It’s not a big company. It’s mostly just two of us in the back doing the mixing and a helper who handles the jars. The space is quite cramped because of all the ingredients we have to store. We have shelves all the way to the ceiling filled with jars and labels. Koramangala is always bustling, so there is never a quiet moment outside. We spend a lot of time making sure the lids are on tight and the labels aren't crooked, though sometimes they still end up a little off-center. We don't have a big marketing budget, so we just rely on people tasting what we make. The floor is a bit uneven in the back room and we have to be careful not to trip when we are carrying heavy pots. It’s a very hands-on job. We get home late most nights with our hands smelling like whatever we were making that day. It’s just a small local business trying to get through the week. We keep working until the jars are filled and the lights go off.
