Sonnet Marketing

You have to climb all the way up to the third floor to find our office. We are situated just off the Marol Maroshi Road. It is a bit of a walk if the lift is acting up again, which seems to happen more often than we would like. Malleshwaram is a very active and loud neighborhood, so there is always a lot of noise drifting up from the street below. Our workspace is mostly just a bunch of old desks pushed together and several whiteboards covered in messy scribbles and notes. We handle a lot of marketing work here, which mostly means we are trying to get the word out about various products for local businesses. It involves an awful lot of typing and staring at computer screens until our eyes start to feel tired. Sometimes we get into long arguments about which colors look better on a page or what words we should use, but we usually sort it out over a cup of hot tea. The office itself is not anything special to look at. We have some old posters taped to the walls and a few dying plants in the corner that someone always forgets to water. A lot of people think that working in marketing is all about big parties and fancy events, but for us, it is just sitting in this room and trying to be a bit creative every day. Some days the good ideas come easy, and other days we just sit here staring at the wall for hours at a time.
