Smart Marketing Group is over at 1301 in Jayanagar. Jayanagar is one of those places that everyone in Bangalore has a soft spot for. It’s got a lot of trees and a lot of history, though our office is just a regular spot where we handle our marketing work. It’s not what you might expect from a marketing firm—there aren't any bean bags or ping pong tables here. It’s mostly just desks, computers, and a lot of lists. We spend a lot of our time looking at data and talking to people on the phone. It’s a practical office for a small team. We don’t have a fancy mission statement on the wall. We just show up every morning and try to figure out the best way to get things done for the day. Being in Jayanagar is nice because we can walk out and find good food nearby when we need a break. The office is usually a bit cluttered with papers and notes, but we know where everything is. We don’t try to sound like a big global agency. We’re just a local group that knows the area and knows our work. Most of our clients come to us because they’ve heard we’re easy to talk to and we don't use a lot of jargon. We keep it real and we don’t overpromise things we can't do. It’s just a normal job in a nice part of town, and we're happy with that.
