Smartkart Supermarket

I’m usually here at 308, Annapurnashwar Arcade in Kothanur most mornings before the sun really gets going. Smartkart Supermarket started because we needed something nearby where folks could just grab what they need without a big fuss. It isn’t some fancy place with glass walls, just rows of shelves we keep stocked as best we can. Sometimes the deliveries are late or the fruit doesn't look right, so we don't put it out. People around Kothanur know us by name now, which is nice. We spend a lot of time checking dates on milk and making sure the floor is swept. The arcade gets busy in the evenings, so that’s when we’re moving fastest. It’s a lot of lifting boxes and chatting with the regulars who come in for their bread or snacks. We try to keep things organized, though sometimes during a rush, it gets a bit messy. My hands are usually a bit dusty from cardboard, but that’s just how it is running a shop. We don’t have a big corporate office or anything like that. Just this spot in the building where we spend our days. If you’ve walked past the arcade, you’ve probably seen us unloading a truck or rearranging the biscuit section. It’s hard work, but it keeps us busy and the neighborhood has what it needs for dinner. We just focus on keeping the lights on and the shelves full for whoever walks through the door today.
