Smart Furnitures

The shop is on the first floor at 64 Infantry Road, right by BEML Main Road. It’s not the easiest place to move big sofas and tables up and down, but we’ve gotten used to those stairs over the years. We spend a lot of time putting things together and moving stuff around the showroom. It’s often a bit dusty because of all the wood and the heavy traffic outside on the main road. I’ve been working with furniture for a long time now. We have all kinds of chairs and desks scattered around the floor. It’s not a big corporate showroom with bright lights and fancy carpets. It’s just a place where we keep the stock and show people what we have available. Sometimes we’re out delivering things to offices or homes nearby. The traffic on Infantry Road can be a real headache during the day, so we try to get our deliveries done early if we can. Most people find us because they’re passing by on the way to work. We don't do much advertising; we just stay open and wait for whoever comes through the door. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and measuring, but that’s just the job. We keep a few tools handy for quick fixes. It’s a regular local shop trying to stay busy and provide what people need for their houses. The phone rings a lot and there is always something that needs fixing or moving. We just keep at it day by day and try to get the orders out on time.
